Count your way across a grid of numbers — by 2s, by 5s, or on the evens only.
A grid full of numbers with one countable trail hidden in it. Choose a rule — count on in 1s, 2s, 5s or 10s, or step only on even numbers, odd numbers or multiples of a number — and the child follows it from the circled number to the finish. The trail is built before the numbers are, and every filler is checked against its neighbours, so no wrong turn ever satisfies the rule: a child who counts correctly cannot get lost, and one who guesses will not get through. The rule is printed in a box on the page.
