Invent a Machine
A funnel, a chute and a control panel with nothing in between: what does your machine do?
The page draws the parts every machine has, a funnel on top, a chute at the bottom and a control panel with buttons, a lever and a dial, and leaves the machine to the child. A picture from the theme goes in at the top; what comes out at the bottom is the invention. Readers get a "machine that..." prompt, lines to label the controls and a name to give it.
