Measuring Length
Measure pencils and lines on a ruler printed at true size, draw lines of a given length, or count cubes and paper clips.
The ruler on this page is a real ruler: every centimetre and inch is printed at its true size on any paper, and a note under the page asks for printing at 100% with a bar to check it by. Read the length of pencils, crayons and lines off the ruler, measure with your own ruler (estimating first if you like), draw lines of a given length from a dot, compare two lengths and say how much longer, or start with cubes and paper clips. Centimetres with or without millimetre marks, millimetres, and inches to the whole, half or quarter.
