Colour by Number
A mosaic of numbered tiles that turns into a picture as it is coloured.
A picture hidden under a grid of numbered tiles. Every tile carries a number, the key says which colour that number is, and the picture appears as the page fills up. Fineness sets how many tiles there are — a coarse grid suits a four-year-old with fat crayons, a fine one gives an older child a recognisable image. Tiles can be squares, triangles or hexagons, and the number of colours decides how many bands the picture is split into.
