Finish the Drawing
Part of a picture is printed and the rest is up to the child. No right answer.
An open-ended drawing page. In picture mode part of a picture is printed against a dashed edge and the child invents whatever the rest of it is — a castle roof on a bungalow is a correct answer here, which is the point. In doodle mode the page becomes several small frames, each holding one bold mark: a squiggle, a hook, a triangle. A blank box is intimidating and a box with a line already in it is not, so a child who says they cannot draw will usually finish a doodle. Nothing on this page is marked, so it prints without an answer key.
