Draw and Write
A prompt, a framed box to draw in and ruled lines to write about it underneath.
The classic draw-and-write page, with the writing lines that suit the child doing it: primary handwriting rules with a solid baseline and a dashed midline, or plain rules for a child past that stage. Drawing first and writing second is what makes it work — a child who has just drawn a monster has something to say about it, and the sentence comes far more easily than it would from a blank page. Pick one of the prompts or type your own, and choose whether the box sits above the lines, below them or beside them.
