Cutting Practice
Dashed lines to cut along with scissors: straight, zigzag, wavy and curvy, from one picture to another.
A scissors-skills page for the youngest. Each strip has one dashed line to cut along, from a picture at one end to a picture at the other, and the lines get harder down the page: straight first, then zigzags (stop at each corner, turn the paper, carry on), then waves, then big curves that need the paper turning as the scissors go. The pictures come from the book's theme. Choose thick lines for a first go with scissors and thin ones for a child who can already follow a line.
