Looking & Spotting

Where Is It?

Position words: in and out, on and under, above and below, in front and behind, left and right, near and far.

Each row is a little scene -- a box, a table, a bridge, a wall or a house -- with the same picture drawn two or three times in different places, and one short sentence: "Colour what is under the table." The child colours, circles or crosses the one in the right place, or draws something there themselves. Choose the pairs of words to practise (in and out and on and under are the first; left and right come last), and the task. The pictures come from the book's theme; only the scene's own object is ever named, so the sentences read correctly in every language.
