Match the Pairs

Draw lines to join pairs: pictures, first letters or syllables, words, rhymes, numbers, letter cases, animals and babies.

The classic draw-a-line matching page. What is being matched is the main setting, so one familiar layout carries many lessons: find the same picture, match a big picture to its small one, match a picture to the letter or the syllable it starts with or to its written word, join the pictures that rhyme, match a numeral to that many dots or to its number word, match a capital to its lower-case partner, or an animal to its baby. The right-hand column is always scrambled so that no answer is a straight line across the page. Letters, syllables, words and rhymes follow the picture's name in the book's language, so a Portuguese page joins the cão to the pão.
