Same or Different?
Two pictures in each row and two boxes to tick. Are they the same, or not quite?
Each row shows a pair of pictures and asks one question: same, or different? At Easy the odd pairs are two different things and the page is about looking carefully rather than deciding. At Medium and Hard the difference shrinks to a change of size, a quarter turn or a mirror image, which is the beginning of the visual discrimination reading depends on — b and d are the same shape mirrored. Every difference is checked against the picture before it is used, so a row of two circles can never be marked different for a mirroring nobody could see.
