Picture Sudoku
Sudoku with pictures instead of numbers, for children who cannot read numerals yet.
A 4x4 or 6x6 sudoku played with pictures. The reasoning is exactly the same as the number version — one of each symbol in every row, every column and every box — but nothing on the page has to be read, so a four-year-old can do it by matching shapes. Pictures are drawn from whichever theme you pick, so a farm book gets farm animals and a space book gets rockets. A key across the top shows the symbols in play, and you can number them if you would rather the child wrote a digit than drew a duck. Clues are only removed while the puzzle still has one answer.
