Sudoku
Number logic in three sizes, from a four-square starter to the full nine.
Every row, every column and every outlined box has to use each number exactly once. The size is the real difficulty setting: a 4x4 has only four numbers to juggle and suits a child who has just learned to write them, a 6x6 is a proper puzzle that still fits in one sitting, and the 9x9 is the newspaper version. The difficulty setting then decides how many numbers are given away to start. Clues are only ever removed while the puzzle still has exactly one answer, so no page here can be solved two different ways.
