Letter of the Week
A big letter to colour, rows to trace, pictures that start with it and a row to find it in.
The classic one-page letter sheet. A big hollow letter to colour, with a picture whose name starts with it; rows to trace it on, with start dots in print or dotted school cursive; a strip of pictures where the child rings the ones that start with the letter's sound; a row of look-alike letters to find it among; and, if you like, the letter to write under more pictures. The letter can be any letter of the book's language, ç, ñ and accented vowels included, or a digraph such as ch, lh, nh, ll or sch. Pictures are chosen by what they are called in the book's language and checked against its phonics rules, so a Portuguese C page never shows a chave and a German S page never a Stern. Set the letter to auto and every page takes the next letter of the alphabet.
