Stressed Syllable
Colour the stressed syllable, sort words by where the stress falls, and put the missing accent back.
For Portuguese and Spanish books, where the spelling shows the stress (other languages use a short list of words written out by hand). Each word is split into syllable boxes beside its picture and the child colours the one said loudest; or a word bank is sorted into columns by where the stress falls (agudas, graves and esdrúxulas in Portugal; oxítonas, paroxítonas and proparoxítonas in Brazil; agudas, llanas and esdrújulas in Spain); or words are printed without their accent, to write again with it. The words come from the picture names in the book's language, and every answer is worked out from the spelling rule.
