Word Builder
How many small words hide inside one long one? Write an acrostic, or build words from their syllables.
A long word printed in letter tiles across the top and a page of lines underneath. In make-words mode the child writes every smaller word they can spell from those letters, with a target to aim at and a box to score themselves in; the answer page lists the words from the app's own banks that the letters can spell, which is a marking aid rather than a complete list. Acrostic mode stands the word up instead, one letter per line, for a word or a sentence starting with each. The four syllable modes build words under their pictures: join the syllables (pa + to = pato), split a word into a box per syllable, put scrambled syllables back in order, or cut syllable tiles out and glue them in place. Syllables are split the way the book's language splits them, from the picture dictionary or your own words.
